Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 6, 2026
StompFlow ("we", "us", or "the app") is an offline-first, browser-based guitar effects pedalboard. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information is collected and how it is used when you use StompFlow.
1. Data We Collect
StompFlow is designed to work without an account and without collecting personal information. We do not collect your name, email, location, or device identifiers.
- Audio input: With your permission, StompFlow accesses your device's microphone or audio interface to process your guitar signal. Audio is processed locally in your browser and is never recorded, transmitted, or stored on our servers unless you explicitly choose to record and export a session yourself.
- Presets & patterns: Effects presets and drum patterns you create are stored locally in your browser and/or your app user account. You control this data and can delete it at any time.
- Settings: Preferences such as theme and audio device selections are stored locally on your device.
2. Microphone Permission
StompFlow requests microphone (audio input) access solely to apply real-time audio effects to your instrument. This permission is requested only when you choose to connect an input source, and you can revoke it at any time through your device or browser settings.
3. How We Use Information
Any data stored is used only to provide and improve the app's features for you. We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties for advertising or commercial purposes.
4. Third-Party Services
StompFlow runs entirely in your browser using the Web Audio API. We do not embed third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs that collect personal information.
5. Data Security
Because processing happens locally in your browser and no personal data is transmitted to our servers, the risk of data exposure is minimized. Any account-related data is handled through the platform's secure authentication system.
6. Children's Privacy
StompFlow is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
7. Your Rights
You may delete your presets, patterns, and account at any time. Because we do not store personal audio recordings on our servers, there is no retained audio data to remove.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.
9. Contact
For privacy questions, please reach out via the Contact page within the app.
